I am the owner of "Get Bent ~ Do Yoga". I have been a yoga practitioner for nearly twenty years and an Instructor for 9 years. I hold a T.R.Y (Therapy, Reiki, Yoga) Certification with 200 hours of training in the style of Hatha Yoga. I am experienced in teaching different levels along with varying Yoga styles; Hatha, Christian, Anusara, Vinyasa Flow, Children’s & Gentle Yoga.
In addition to this, I advance my training and teaching techniques by attending professional workshops such as; Yogafit with founder Beth Shaw, Kids Yoga, Anusara Yoga with Todd Norian and Kundalini Yoga at the Kripalu center for yoga. Presently I am immersed in the studies of; Aerial Yoga,Street Yoga for teens at risk,Yoga for PTSD and Yoga for the Deaf.

Cards will be good in Fall/Winter/Spring evening classes at the Boat Basin, or can be used next summer. These classes are sponsored by Huron Parks & Rec.

In this Gentle Hatha Yoga class you will learn asanas (poses) that will increase your muscle strength and flexibility, and improve your balance and core strength. You'll learn to deal with stress through use of pranayama (proper breathing techniques) and savasana with guided meditation. Come and learn to slow life down and find your inner calm. No previous yoga experience required, suitable for all levels. There is nothing to fear since we won't be doing headstands, handstands or arm balances, but we will be moving up and down off the floor.
