Children’s Yoga Express™ is offering children's yoga classes at our Glenside and Huntingdon Valley locations!

Our Prancing Warriors™ class is for children ages 3-4 years. Children in this age group are entering the magical years of fantasy and vivid imagination. We will embark on a Yoga Adventure to the Jungle, the Zoo, or wherever the little imaginations of our Prancing Warriors™ take us. The joy of this class is learning and experiencing yoga and mindfulness through the art of letting go and embracing the moment. This is a parent and child class.

The Power Warriors™ class is for children ages 5-8 years. Upon entering the world of independence, these little maturing warriors are feeling the powerful surge of their strength and growth in mind and body. We will move into a series of fun-filled yoga postures for an overall mind and body stretch, building flexibility and endurance. With the breath being our life force, children will learn breathing techniques for health and wellness. Additionally, we will play games that build confidence, social, team building, and leadership skills.

Lastly, our Peaceful Warriors™ class is for children 9-12 years. At this age, children are beginning to develop empathy and personal responsibility. Physically they can do more, but their bone structures are still developing and adjusting. We will hone in on these natural developmental stages and create an experience where children build skills in emotional intelligence and graceful movement through physical and social games, yoga postures, including Sun Salutations, and learning the art of sitting still and breathing.

All of our Yoga classes include a series of fun-filled yoga postures, cardio activity, games, stories, music, arts and crafts, journaling, mindful eating activities, and relaxation. Children are guided through a yoga experience - giving them tools for a balanced mind and body.

We provide props, art supplies, and snacks. Children will take home some props and finished art projects. Snacks are limited to Organic Dried Fruits, or a fresh Organic Apple and are used for the purpose of mindful eating activities. Snacks are not provided every week.
