Alive and Shine Center is a full-service yoga studio, offering yoga and meditation classes, teacher training and workshops. We have served Seattle's Eastside communities as a family-owned and operated business for over 21 years.

Richard is the Founder and Director of The Center For Yoga of Seattle a Major Northwest BKS Iyengar Yoga Center founded in 1980.

Iyengar Yoga is often referred to as the Gold Standard of Yoga Systems due to the systematic nature of the teaching, the emphasis on precision of alignment and attention to detail in the practice, and the thoroughness of training of new teachers.

The Center is based in Seattle's Ravenna Community. It offers yoga courses, intensives, workshops, and teacher trainings.

Richard is the Seattle area's only authorized Iyengar Yoga Teacher Trainer as well being a Yoga Alliance Teacher Trainer for 200 Hour Courses.

Richard gives immersion 4 week 200 hour YA approve teacher training courses in March, June, July, and September and conducts a 1 year evening teacher training as well.... See More
