 Fusion's approach to Yoga Therapy utilizes yogic principles and practices to balance, strengthen, and encourage a state of self-knowledge, optimal health and healing for all human conditions and populations. The ultimate goal is to create within each individual or group an awakening and realization to their essential nature and ability to self heal. The benefits of Yoga Therapy vary for everyone! Yoga Therapy benefits the physical (body/muscular), emotional (mind), and spirit (breath in the body/life in the body). Fusion's approach is light and fun! Sessions will likely do all the following by building a deeper understanding of Self: increase physical strength, flexibility, and endurance, rehablitate injury and prevent injury, reduce worry, reduce blood pressure, deepen rest, lighten your response to stress, deepen your relationship to Self, Spirit, and others. It will also broaden your understanding of the 5 elements and their intertwine of play in: nutrition, fitness, rest, and communication!  
How is it done? By creating a path to wellness you open the door to self- discovery. What will make you feel good, at peace, complete and at EASE? The how of yoga therapy is intertwined within the accent study of Samkhya Philosophy. Samakhya Philosophy is the foundation of health in Yoga and Ayurveda; balancing the body at the level of the five elements as a way to come to pure awareness of true Self. Food and lifestyle choices are the medicine in yoga therapy. Imbalance of elements may show up on many levels.  Peace verses disruption of the elements is essentially the work we do in therapy sessions.  
In a session you may do one or none of the following: talk, meditate, stretch, relax, breathe, wish to quit, wish to never leave, dive inside your thoughts and body and find out what keeps you from being comfortable. Comfortable with your low back, neck, or yourself. Yoga Therapy can be light or deep. The depths of a session unfold organically and is part of the three fold release of tension: muscular, mental, and emotional. All sessions are tailored according to the moment and adjust with your needs. Come in with an open mind to this non demanding, unassuming, client focused therapy.
